Geoff Albach grew up in the collision business, riding his tricycle around his dad's body shop. In 1993, at 19, he became the youngest franchisee in PDA's history, launching a new territory in Charlottesville, Virginia, from the ground up. He built his client base by knocking on the doors of insurance and rental car companies. In 1997 PDA headquarters asked him to rescue a struggling franchise in Virginia Beach, and within 90 days he had turned it into a top performer. He later expanded into Fairfax to serve the Washington, D.C. market, won PDA's Outstanding Achievement Award in 1996, 1998, and 2003, and served clients including MetLife, Hertz, Dollar, and National Interstate.
After selling his franchise in 2017, Geoff joined Erie Insurance as a staff adjuster, first as a property damage specialist and then as the heavy equipment specialist. He then spent about three years as director of operations for a group of collision centers in the Lynchburg area. Working on the repair side showed him how badly the field needed qualified, knowledgeable appraisers, so he came back to appraising and founded Apex Damage Appraisals.

Today, with 33 years of industry experience, Geoff brings a perspective that few in the appraisal industry can offer. Having worked as an independent appraiser, an insurance company adjuster, and a collision repair operations director, he understands the claims process from every angle.
